Construction of new Bellway development in Stowmarket reaches final stages

Construction work at Bellway’s Pinewood Grange development in Stowmarket is nearing its final stages as over 100 properties are now complete.

Bellway is building 141 homes at the scheme off Gun Cotton Way and the work is being overseen by an award-winning senior site manager, Harry Bell, who won a Pride in the Job Quality Award with the National House Building Council earlier this year.

Work began in 2021, and the first residents moved into their homes in June 2022. Now more than 70 per cent of homes are occupied, the play area has been completed and the new neighbourhood is expected to be finished in summer 2026.

Marrissa Gale, Sales Manager for Bellway Eastern Counties, said: “Work has progressed well at Pinewood Grange, and as people have moved in a thriving neighbourhood and community is developing.

“There’s been a real mix of buyers here, some from the local area and others from further afield. Stowmarket is a very popular location to put down roots, as it is a lovely traditional market town with a vibrant community feel, but it is also well connected, with direct trains between Norwich and London Liverpool Street, and the A14 just a few minutes away for journeys to Ipswich, Bury St Edmunds or Cambridge.

“As the new homes have taken shape, people have been able to appreciate the attractive design of the development. And customers purchasing their next home here can have enormous confidence in the quality because our senior site manager Harry Bell is an award winner who has been recognised by the National House Building Council (NHBC) for the high standard of his work.”

More than 8,000 construction sites were considered for the NHBC’s Pride in the Job awards and Harry was one of only 449 site managers nationwide to receive a Quality Award.

Pinewood Grange features 92 homes for private sale and 49 affordable homes and is part of the wider Cedars Park neighbourhood in Stowmarket.

Bellway is building a selection of two, three and four-bedroom homes at Pinewood Grange and prices currently start from £309,995 for a three-bedroom house in Bellway’s Quilter house style.
