A new image previewing the street scene at Bellway’s Elmfield Green development in Billingshurst has been released ahead of the first properties going on saleBellway is building 83 homes at Elmfield Green, on a 15-acre site to the west of Wooddale Lane at the eastern edge of the village. Construction work started last year and the first showhomes are expected to open at the site in October 2026. The first homes for occupation are due to be ready by January 2027 with work on site scheduled for completion by the end of the following year.
The CGI shows a range of homes built with a mix of materials, and visualises the area of grassland which will form part of the public open space at the development.
Natalie Haigh, Head of Sales for Bellway Southern Counties, said: “Elmfield Green will provide a range of high-quality and energy-efficient new homes for Billingshurst as well as a significant financial investment in local services and infrastructure.
“The homes at Elmfield Green have been designed to reflect the traditional character of properties in the local area, ensuring an attractive street scene which will be further enhanced by the public open space. A children’s play area will be provided, along with a green corridor of planting and a network of footpaths linking to the village.”
Bellway will be making a payment of £1 million to Horsham District Council and West Sussex County Council through the Community Infrastructure Levy to fund local infrastructure. The housebuilder is also providing contributions totalling over £49,000 through the planning agreement for the development. This includes payments towards public rights of way and sustainable travel.
Bellway will be releasing the first properties for sale at Elmfield Green this Saturday (25 July) at a launch event taking place at Billingshurst Community Centre. For more information, visit https://www.bellway.co.uk/new-homes/southern-counties/elmfield-green.
