Construction work is progressing at Willow Brook, a collection of 455 new homes being built on land off Grovehurst Road at the eastern edge of the village.
The two showhomes were opened to visitors last month (July) as the first properties were released onto the market. The first homes for occupation are due to be completed in the autumn.
Willow Brook will deliver 425 new homes for private sale, ranging from one and two-bedroom apartments to two, three and four-bedroom houses, alongside 30 affordable homes for rent or shared ownership. A selection of properties will be built using sustainable timber frames, making them more energy efficient than homes built using traditional methods.
The development is also set to provide a new community centre and a 98-acre country park.
Kirstie Frith, Sales Manager at Bellway Kent, said: “The opening of our two showhomes at Willow Brook was a great opportunity for visitors to look inside the first completed properties at the development, which is the first to feature Bellway’s new premium branding, and find out more about the range of homes being built here. There was an extremely good turnout for our launch event, with lots of interest.
“The variety of homes being built means this is a development which will appeal to a broad spectrum of buyers, from those looking to take their first step on the property ladder to growing families and downsizers. The new community centre and country park being delivered alongside the new homes are also a major draw, as is the development’s location within walking distance of the shops and other facilities in Iwade village centre.”
As well as the new country park which will neighbour the development, Willow Brook will also include a range of green open spaces featuring natural play equipment. The development will achieve a 20 per cent increase in biodiversity through the provision of the new country park and the creation of new habitats around the development.
The new community building will have offices, meeting rooms, nursery facilities, parking and toilets.
The two showhomes at Willow Brook are both four-bedroom detached houses built in Bellway’s Scrivener and Bowyer house styles.
A selection of two, three and four-bedroom houses are currently available, with prices starting from £345,995 For more information about the development, visit https://bellway.co.uk/new-homes/kent/willow-brook or call the sales team on 01795 358582.
