Construction is progressing at Sharnbrook Park, located off Mill Road to the east of the village. The development is part of a wider project which will bring a total of 500 new homes to the area, alongside new facilities for the community.
The Welcome Centre is now open to customers, with a showhome built in Bellway’s Arkwright style available to tour.
Amy Hughes, Sales Manager at Bellway Northern Home Counties, said: “It’s always an exciting moment to open the development to the public for the first time. The variety of homes being built here means Sharnbrook Park appeals to a wide range of people, including first-time buyers and growing families, and it was lovely to meet so many of them on launch day.
“The new homes have been carefully considered to meet the needs of the local housing market, as well as sustainability, with air source heat pumps and electric vehicle charging points across the development. We’re looking forward to the first residents moving in later this year.”
To celebrate the development’s opening, Bellway made a donation to Sharnfest, a festival featuring local talent and vendors, which took place in July.
Amy said: “Sharnfest is a fixture in the local calendar and we were so pleased to support it for the second time. At Bellway we aim to bring communities together and events like Sharnfest are a great example of this – giving a platform to local talent and offering fun for the whole family.”
As part of the planning agreement for Sharnbrook Park and the Community Infrastructure Levy, Bellway is investing a local of £4.4 million into local infrastructure and facilities. This will include a new roundabout on the A6 to improve access and road safety for drivers. Outline planning permission has also been granted for a primary school, a community hub and playing pitches.
Bellway is building two, three, four and five-bedroom houses at Sharnbrook Park with prices starting at £350,000. For more information about the development, visit https://www.bellway.co.uk/new-homes/northern-home-counties/sharnbrook-park or call the sales team on 01234 923 563.
