The housebuilder has now paid the final instalments of its financial contributions to Oadby and Wigston Borough Council under the planning agreement for the 310-home development off Gartree Road, as building work on the site is due to be completed in July.
More than £2.5 million of the money has been allocated to education, with other contributions including funding for public transport and libraries.
The first instalments were paid by Bellway when work began at the development in the autumn of 2020, with subsequent instalments being paid at various milestones in the build programme.
There are two homes remaining for sale at the 310-home development, which comprises 221 homes built under the Bellway brand and 89 properties built under the company’s Ashberry Homes brand. This includes 217 properties for private sale and 93 affordable homes for rent or shared ownership. The Ashberry Homes part of the development, known as Horwood Gardens, was completed in 2025.

Bellway’s financial contributions under the planning agreement for Stoughton Park include more than £1.3 million for primary education, almost £890,000 for secondary education, £190,000 for post-16 education, and £157,000 for special schools. Other contributions include £120,000 for the South East Leicester Transport Study, £10,000 for bus shelters, £107,000 for open spaces, £100,000 for offsite allotments, £85,000 towards the Coombe Park pavilion, £156,000 for healthcare and more than £9,000 for libraries. Total contributions due to indexation total £3.5 million.
The final homes available to reserve at Stoughton Park are the four-bedroom detached Goldsmith, priced at £549,950 and the five-bedroom detached Bosworth at £699,950.
