Bellway donates books to Crompton Primary
Coinciding with World Book Day, Bellway has donated £250 worth of new books to Crompton Primary School on Longfield Road in Shaw.
Currently building a selection of beautiful new build homes at Old Brook View on Linney Lane, Bellway chose to approach Crompton Primary as it is just a short walk away from the development.
Delighted with the donation, the teachers and pupils at Crompton Primary worked together to choose a huge number of new books for the school library. The selection includes copies of eagerly anticipated new releases plus additional copies of much loved favourite titles that have suffered with wear and tear and become damaged over the years.
Bellway sales advisor at Old Brook View Dawn Clarke visited Crompton Primary to deliver the new books and read a number of short stories to children in the school library.
Headteacher at Crompton Primary, Mrs Gemma Croston, said: “Reading is exceptionally important for educational development and we are aways looking for ways to improve the selection of titles, genres and authors that we have in the library. We are extremely grateful to Bellway for this donation and had great fun choosing a huge selection of new books for all to enjoy.”
Sales director at Bellway Manchester, Grace Yarlett, added: “With Crompton Primary located so close to Old Brook View and pupils from the school likely to live on our development, it was important for us to support the school. The donation will benefit children currently at school and also future pupils who can enjoy the additional books in the library.”
