Bellway donates pumpkins to Skelton Primary School

Bellway Yorkshire has given children at Skelton Primary School a real treat by donating a pile of pumpkins that they spent a fun-filled afternoon turning into spooky Halloween decorations.

The school parliament, made up of 12 children aged 9 to 11, brought life to the pumpkins in a group carving activity supervised by staff. Their creations then all went home to illuminate trick-or-treaters within the town on October 31st, championing Bellway’s commitment to integrating and building connections with the community.

Emma Fitton-Cook, Bellway Homes’ sales manager, said: “Halloween is a fantastic time for children with costumes and sweets. Carving pumpkins is the perfect way to get excited for the spooky occasion, and we’re delighted to encourage creativity and joy for the school parliament. We loved seeing the children’s artistry being displayed and getting involved with the local community here in Skelton.”

Sarah Walker, headteacher of Skelton Primary School, added: “The children were thrilled with the activity, adding excitement to the lead up of Halloween and the Harvest Festival. A big thank you to Bellway for making this year’s celebration extra special as I’m sure the children will proudly display their creations at their homes.”

Being built off Skelton’s Bowland Road, Bellway’s Castlegate development comprises 140 spacious three and four-bedroom detached and semi-detached homes, all of which are perfect for growing families. And with the development being in the catchment area for Skelton Primary School, it’s likely future intakes of pupils will include an ever-growing number of pupils living in one of the new Bellway homes.

“We aren’t just here to build and sell homes, our aim is to create a new community that will sit perfectly with the rest of the town,” added Emma. “And with so many family homes on the development, I’m sure it won’t be long before the gardens, green space and play area on Castlegate will be alive with the sounds of a new community coming to life.”

There are only 14 plots remaining at Bellway’s Castlegate development, which range in price from £200,995 for a three-bed semi-detached Chander house type to £344,995 for a four-bed detached Forester. All of the homes on the development come with their own private garden and either a garage or off-street parking.
