Bellway gives donation to help fundraising at primary school in Tiverton

Bellway is building a relationship with Two Moors Primary School in Tiverton as part of its commitment to supporting the local community.

The housebuilder, which is building new homes at Empress Gardens, off Lea Road in the town, started with a donation to support the school’s Christmas fair, which was held on Friday 28 November – £50 in book token prizes and a £100 donation.

Two Moors Primary School PTFA Chair Kate Lejeune said: “We really appreciate the generous donation from Bellway.

“We had a variety of outside traders coming in with stalls selling gifts and crafts and a number of stalls manned by the children with a range of fun games and activities to raise money.

“We had a big raffle and tombola along with a Santa’s grotto, as well as refreshments, with all funds going directly back into the school.”

The PTFA is working to help provide resources for the school and has provided £1,200 of new books for the library as well as purchasing stationery and other items for classrooms.

Bellway South West Senior Sales Manager Rachel Way said: “Children who move into homes at Empress Gardens may come to attend Two Moors Primary School so it is particularly important for us to support the school where we can.

“We hope the funds raised from the Christmas fair help provide more of the resources that the school needs. As a local homebuilder we are keen to be involved in the community, so we were pleased to offer them a donation.”

Bellway is also building homes elsewhere in Devon, at Libbets Grange in Crediton.
