Bellway set to make infrastructure payments of £2.1 million as part of Pennwood Grange development in Hazlemere
Bellway will hand over infrastructure payments of more than £2.1 million for its Pennwood Grange development in Hazlemere in January, when the first residents move into their new homes.
The housebuilder will pay contributions for health services, bus stop improvements and a travel plan to Buckinghamshire Council – totalling more than £270,000 – alongside more than £410,000 for schools, which represents a quarter of the funding being provided for education through the planning agreement.
Bellway also contributed more than £1.4 million towards long-term conservation projects in the area before work started on site at Pennwood Grange.
In total, Bellway will invest more than £7 million in local infrastructure and facilities, including £4.2 million through the Community Infrastructure Levy.
A total of 259 homes are being built at Pennwood Grange on land off Amersham Road, alongside seven acres of open space, with a children’s playground and multi-use games area. The Framer and Amersham showhomes opened on site last month (November) and the occupants of the first six homes are due to be handed their keys in January.
