Children enjoy equipment as new play area opens at DeHavilland Place in Kings Hill
A new children’s play area has officially opened at DeHavilland Place in Kings Hill.
Families went along to the Bellway development off Jubilee Way to try out the new facility for the first time on Saturday 26 July.
The play area is fitted out with a variety of equipment including apparatus for balancing, a slide, see-saw, rope bridge and a wooden play truck.
Wooden benches have also been installed to give parents a place to sit while they watch their children playing on the equipment.
Bellway Kent Sales Director Mark Harrop said: “The opening of a children’s play area at a new development is always a special moment as it is part of bringing a scheme to life.
“Our new play area at DeHavilland Place has been carefully planned with landscaping and attractive play equipment that will make it a pleasure for families to use.
“This new facility offers lots of ways for children to have fun in the open air, be active and enjoy their surroundings.
“The opening day was a wonderful occasion with everyone making the most of their first opportunity to play on the equipment.”
Bellway is building 210 homes at DeHavilland Place, comprising 126 properties for private sale and 84 affordable homes for rent or shared ownership.
DeHavilland Place is one of five developments within Bellway’s Aviation Park scheme which will deliver a total of 542 homes.
Aviation Park forms the final part of the wider Kings Hill project which has transformed the former RAF West Malling site into a new garden village of more than 3,000 homes with new commercial space, shops and schools.
