Images released of homes planned for new Woodland Edge development in Killingworth
Computer-generated pictures have been released of the homes planned at Ashberry Homes’ new Woodland Edge development in Killingworth, Tyne and Wear, ahead of the launch on Saturday 5 July.
The development, which will be within walking distance of Palmersville Metro station, will comprise 122 two to five-bedroom houses, including 25 two and three-bedroom affordable homes available for local people.
Ashberry Homes, which is part of the Bellway Group, has designed some of the private three and four-bedroom homes to be more accessible and adaptable, with step-free access to homes and parking spaces and wider hallways and doorways, making them particularly beneficial for those with reduced mobility.
The launch of Woodland Edge follows high demand for new homes at Bellway’s neighbouring Western Grange development.
Bellway North East Sales Director Emma Chesterton said: “Woodland Edge is in a highly convenient location, within about half a mile of a Metro station. This means straightforward access to Newcastle city centre which is great for commuters or for heading out to the coast at Whitley Bay.

The launch event runs from 11am to 5pm at the development, which is off the B1317 on the southern edge of Killingworth.
Woodland Edge and Western Grange are part of a 539-home development at Killingworth which was granted planning permission by North Tyneside Council last year.
Bellway opened two showhomes at Western Grange earlier this year and the first residents here are beginning to move into their new homes.
