Bellway deliver new Stirling homes for Forth Housing Association

Bellway Scotland West has handed over 21 new homes for affordable rent in Stirling to Forth Housing Association.

The sustainable new properties form part of Ridgewood, a new build development situated off Glasgow Road in Croftside, just an eight-minute drive from the town centre.

Featuring a mix of one and two bedroom cottage flats, semi-terrace and terraced homes, each property benefits from energy saving features including solar panels and an electric charging point.

The £3.75m development benefited from £2.499m of grant from the Scottish Ministers and Allia Social Impact Investments, £1.26m of Forth Housing Association’s private finance, and the support of Stirling Council.

Welcoming representatives and the first tenants, Sharon Brady-Wardrope, Director, Forth Housing Association, who provide quality, affordable homes and low-cost home ownership said, “We are delighted to welcome our new tenants to Cat Craig Way. The completion of these new homes in Ridgewood, Pirnhall is part of our continued commitment to address the need for affordable housing in Stirling.

“While there is still much work to be done in tackling the national housing emergency, this development along with the others we have completed recently signify an encouraging contribution.  Together with our partners such as Bellway, the Scottish Government, Scottish Ministers, Allia, Stirling Council, and our agents Macdonald Cameron Ltd, we remain committed to ensuring that everyone has access to a quality, affordable home.”

Fraser Miller, Senior Land Manager, Bellway Scotland West said, “It’s terrific to see this project and the development coming to fruition.  It’s a fine example of private and public collaboration to create desirable, sustainable and affordable new homes”.
