Following a rush of sales, the Yorkshire division of national homebuilder, Bellway has put up the sold-out signs at its St John’s View development in Menston.
The development, which buyers described as magical due to a location that delivered both the best of rural living and the ease of urban accessibility, comprised 133-homes and was within walking distance of both the village’s primary school and railway station.
Melanie Smith, Bellway Yorkshire’s sales director, said: “Demand for homes at St John’s View was high from the moment we announced the development – and when you look at it, it’s easy to understand why. There was something for everyone; from those looking to upsize, downsize or take their first step onto the property ladder; while Menston itself is a perfectly charming Yorkshire village, but without the remoteness of those found out in the Dales.”
As part of its commitment to improving the local community, Bellway funded £1.4million of road safety improvements in Menston during the build process. This included the replacement of old road signs, footpath improvement, road resurfacing and the implementation of speed plateaus.
“It’s great to know that our funding enabled important local projects like these to come to fruition,” added Melanie. “By improving signage, footpaths and road surfaces, and introducing new speed reduction measures, we really have helped to improve the community for residents both new and old.”
For those who missed out in Menston, Bellway is currently building in Skipton. Its Clifford Gardens development, which is located on Wyvern Road, features a strong mix of different home types and sizes, including two-, three-, four- and five-bedroom homes. Prices currently range from £229,995 for a two-bed semi-detached Milton to £624,995 for five-bed detached Kettlewell with a double garage.
