Bellway Wales sparks festive fun and fundraising at developments
Visitors to Bellway’s Alder Grove development in Newport enjoyed the sparkle and shine of a Christmas showhome on Saturday (6 December) as part of the housebuilder’s festive programme of events.
Santa and one of his elves dropped in to meet children and hand out sweet treats at Alder Grove and he is also planning visits on Thursday (11 December) to Bellway’s Parc Mawr development in Penllergaer, near Swansea, and Forest Walk in Lydney, just over the border in Gloucestershire.
As well as bringing some Christmas magic to its developments, Bellway Wales has also been supporting local charities as part of the events.
At Parc Mawr, visitors will be able to write a wish to pop inside a bauble to hang on the communal Christmas tree in the development’s green open space. For every bauble hung, Bellway will make a donation to Wales Make a Wish.
Meanwhile at Forest Walk, the sales team are collecting toys, old and new, so they can be gifted to families in need this Christmas. Visitors to the development can make donations until Sunday 14 December. Donations will be passed to Munchkin’s Baby Shop who will be distributing the toys.
Rhodri Davies, Sales Manager for Bellway Wales, said: “Christmas is a wonderful time for enjoying some festive fun, as well as thinking of others who might be less fortunate. Our Santa Stops Here events have been planned to combine both these elements, bringing some sparkle to the season alongside fundraising for local charities.
“We started our Santa Stops Here events at Alder Grove, where our interior designers have done an incredible job decking the halls of our sales office and the Goldsmith showhome. Visitors were able to get some inspiration for their own homes this Christmas, while children enjoyed meeting Santa, giving him their wish-lists and receiving sweet treats.
“We’re looking forward to the fun continuing at Parc Mawr and Forest Walk on Thursday and welcoming more visitors to share some Christmas joy.”
