First images released of new Bellway development in Ash

Newly released images of Bellway’s recently launched Oakhill Meadow development in Ash, near Guildford, provide a glimpse of what the site will look like once completed.
Bellway has released the computer-generated images following the opening of the sales office and showhome at the site off Harpers Road on Saturday 31 January.
They show the style and design of the properties being built at Oakhill Meadow, as well as the large areas of green open space which Bellway is providing as part of the development.
Construction work on the 51-home development began in January and the first homes are due to be finished and ready for occupation in October.
When completed, the development will comprise 30 two to five-bedroom properties for private sale and 21 affordable homes for low-cost rent, shared ownership and for sale at a discount to market value.
Daniel Williamson, Sales Director for Bellway Southern Counties, said: “There is a considerable need for new housing in the borough and the high level of demand we have already experienced for the homes at Oakhill Meadow reflect this. These newly released images enable potential buyers to see the design and appearance of the homes, which feature a soft brick colour and white window surrounds to reflect the architectural style of existing properties in the area.
“They also show the extensive areas of public open space we will be providing alongside the homes for the benefit of new and existing residents. This will include orchard fruit trees, informal seating and picnic points, and a boardwalk alongside the new pond.
“With the first showhome now open at the site, potential customers also have the opportunity to look inside the first completed property at the development and see the layout, specification and finish at first hand.”
As part of the planning agreement for the development, Bellway is to contribute more than £1.3 million to fund local services and infrastructure. The housebuilder has already provided a SANG (sustainable alternative natural greenspace) contribution of £382,500.
Other contributions will include more than £600,000 towards the road bridge planned as part of the new A323 Guildford Road, which will will enable the closure of the existing level crossing, more than £487,000 towards secondary, primary and early years education places, more than £150,000 towards the provision of new playing fields and/or youth facilities and more than £61,000 towards highways.
